Exciting Announcement: Gift Card Drive to Benefit Foster Children in Yavapai County

Help Foster Children in Yavapai County with Our Gift Card Drive

The Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation is thrilled to unveil its upcoming initiative, the Gift Card Drive, designed to make a meaningful difference in the lives of approximately 300 foster children in Yavapai County. Running from July 10th to August 10th, this campaign aims to provide immediate assistance to vulnerable youth in need.

Immediate Support for Vulnerable Youth

“When children are removed from their homes, they often leave with nothing but the clothes on their backs, which are often insufficient,” explained Yvonne Bartlett, Executive Director of the Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation. “By donating gift cards, we can ensure that foster youth have their emergency and basic needs met right away!”

Fostering Joy and Celebrating Milestones

The Gift Card Drive goes beyond meeting basic needs; it’s about instilling joy and celebration in the lives of these deserving children. The gift cards will be used for the Toy Chest and Celebration Card programs. These programs utilize physical gifts to allow caregivers and all those involved in the lives of foster youth to recognize and commemorate important milestones such as birthdays, academic achievements, and positive behavioral changes

Urgent Need for Support

Mona Stephens, Development Director at the Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation, emphasized the urgent need for support, stating, “Since March, we have expanded our programs to include the Verde Valley, and we have witnessed an increased demand from foster families in need. These gift cards, particularly those for clothing outlets, will play a crucial role in supporting the expansion of our three gift card-based programs.”

Gift Card Donations Needed

The Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation is seeking donations of gift cards ranging from $10 to $200 for restaurants, clothing stores, hobby stores, and Amazon. These gift cards will enable foster youth to have immediate access to meals upon removal, supplement the $150 per year allotted for clothing in Arizona, provide items for positive self-expression, and much more.

Donation Drop-Off Location

You can drop off donations at the Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation office, located at 3281 Bob Drive, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314. Donations can be made from Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm. Alternatively, you may mail your donation to PO Box 28070, Prescott Valley, AZ 86312.
