Family Visitation Centers
About The Family Visitation Centers
When a youth enters foster care, reunification with their families is often the end goal of the courts, when safe and possible. Supervised visitation with the youth is one of the many steps parents must take in order to permanently reunite with their child(ren).
In Yavapai County, there aren’t many dedicated places for families in this situation to meet which results in visits being held in public spaces, like parks, where privacy, protection from the elements, and a quality visit are made difficult.
The Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation has two Family Visitation Centers; The Barbara Polk FVC in Prescott Valley and the Verde Valley FVC in Cottonwood.
The primary purpose of Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation’s Family Visitation Centers (FVCs) are to provide a safe, homelike, environment for children in foster care to have supervised visits; supporting the family’s healing process.
The secondary function of the FVCs are to provide agencies and youth currently/formerly involved with the foster care system with a safe meeting space for mentorship, birthdays, etc.
Schedule A Visit at Either Location.
⚠ In order to use either of the Family Visitation Centers, an MOU and Agent Use Agreement must be signed and returned to Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation. To request these documents contact us at [email protected] or call 928 445 0800.
